Manual Email Message Review
When an email message's bounce and/or spam rate is high, our system will flag this email message for a manual review by us. While in this state and waiting for us to finish the review, your message's email delivery will be paused.
During the manual review where email delivery is paused, no emails will be lost. Just queued for sending once the review is completed and your account has passed the review.
A manual review is triggered when an email message's spam and bounce rate exceeds the limits published in our acceptable use policy (0.1% for spam, 10% for bounces). These rates are for the past 30 days, and not for the whole lifetime of a message. A manual review can also be triggered multiple times if your rates do not improve after 30 days.
Depending on the result of the manual review:
- If the manual review results in the email message passing it, then email delivery is resumed for that email message.
- If the manual review results in email delivery being permanently suspended, then you will need to set up a custom SMTP server.
Note: A manual review of an email message may or may not also result in a review of your entire project.
