How to Redirect User to Your Custom Email Opt-in Confirmation Page
With double opt-in enabled on your project, when users signup on your form or are imported (with no status set and "do not send emails when importing" option unchecked), they will receive a confirmation email like the one below asking them to confirm opting in by clicking on the provided link.
When they click the confirmation link, they are redirected to Prefinery's generic confirmation/thank-you page which, if you'd prefer to use, is still customizable.
While you can't change the page copy/text, it is automatically localized in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish - meaning, when the user lands on this page, the copy is automatically translated based on their browser/OS language setting or preference. It defaults to English if the user's preferred language is neither of the mentioned languages.
If you want complete control over what goes into your confirmation page though, you can create or use an existing page in your website instead, and set it as your custom confirmation page. Here's how:
Redirect to a Custom Confirmation Page
As shown below, from your project dashboard navigate to Settings > Project Settings > General Settings, then set When a user confirms to Show your custom confirmation page and provide the URL.
Make sure to scroll further down and Save your changes.
Redirect to Embedded Referral Page
If you've embedded your referral page in its own page and have setup your signup form to redirect the user to it upon submission, you can also use that same page as the confirmation page of your opt-in email so your user is redirected to their referral page upon opt-in.
The embedded referral page will be automatically personalized for the user since the confirmation link will pass a ref
parameter with the user ID as its value.
