How to add team members?

Prefinery allows you to add teammates to help manage your projects. Each teammate will be able to access the account using their own profile and login credentials. 

Reminder: This multi-user feature applies on the company account level and not per project. This means that the full or restricted access of a team member applies to all projects on the account. 

Understanding permission levels

When adding a teammate, Prefinery allows you to set the access level for that person to limit their access to the company account and its projects. 

Permission Level Description
Billing-only Grant access to billing-related pages and settings (e.g. invoices, cards on file) but cannot modify account plan/subscription. 
Full access Grants full access to the account. This teammate can also add, edit and remove other teammates on the account including the company account owner (original creator of the account). They can also revoke teammate invitations. 
Restricted access Grants limited access to data and/or features depending on the set restrictions. Project settings, integrations, team members and billing settings can't be accessed by this teammate.

Warning: Granting a teammate Full access to all data and features will allow them to add, edit and remove other teammates on the account including the original creator of the account.

How to add a teammate

Only a teammate with Full access can add another teammate to the account. To do so: 

  1. From your account dashboard, navigate to Settings menu > Members at the upper-right corner.


  2. In the Team Members page, click on the Invite Member button. 


  3. In the popup modal that appears, enter the Email address of the new teammate you're trying to add and set their Permission. Click Add when done. 

    Invited teammates will appear under the Pending Invitations section where you can also Revoke invitation if needed. 

    They will receive an email containing their invitation link. Once they clicked on the invite link and registered, they're then added to the account's active teammates list where they can be edited or removed if needed.

How to require 2FA for the entire company

By default, logging in to your account will only require email and the password, but Prefinery offers you the option to add an extra layer of security to your company account through Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). 

2FA is an account-wide setting which means enabling it will apply to and make it required for all teammates. Also, only a teammate with Full access can enable 2FA on the account. 

Here's how to do so: 

  1. From your account dashboard, navigate to Settings menu > Company Settings at the upper-right corner.


  2. In the General Company Settings, select Require two-factor authentication and hit Save


  3. You will be redirected to the 2FA setup page which contains instructions on how you can proceed. Other teammates on the account will also be required to do this the next time they login to the account. 

    Once a teammate completes the 2FA setup, they will be shown as having 2FA Enabled in the team members list of the Company Settings
