How to Disable Email Click Tracking

Prefinery by default tracks clicks on links and buttons in your campaign emails by replacing the original link with a special one which hits our email provider's servers first, allowing us to track the click.

While it isn't common though can certainly can happen, some ad blockers and other software will block click-tracking links and falsely flag it as suspicious which may deter users. If you want to make sure this doesn't happen, you will have to disable and forgo click-tracking for links/CTAs in your emails, or use your own click-tracking redirects.

When you disable click tracking then no links will be replaced - they will be the original URL you used in your email message. The only consequence of disabling the click tracking feature is that you will lose analytics on Prefinery's end regarding how many times your links were clicked.

Disabling click tracking on an email message

Click tracking is enabled by default on all email messages in your campaign. Here's how you can disable it on an email message:

1

From your project dashboard, navigate to Email > Messages then find the email message you want to disable click tracking on, click on its Actions dropdown and select Edit

2

In the email message editor, go to the Settings tab, then click on Advanced Settings to expand it.

3

Find and turn OFF the Track clicks? option, then Save your changes.

You can repeat the above steps for all or any other email message in your campaign that you'd like to disable click tracking on. There currently isn't a way to bulk disable it on all email messages at once.
